Your local home for world-class fertility care
Our boutique fertility clinic is conveniently located in northeast Louisville, Kentucky.
At KFI, we understand the emotional highs and lows that come with trying to conceive. Our goal is to give you the answers you need to grow your family, and that starts with an initial consultation. After listening to your story and reviewing your medical history, we’ll create a diagnostic plan to help us determine the causes of your infertility. This process involves fertility testing and physical examinations to ensure our course of treatment meets your unique needs and family-building goals. Once we get the results of your testing, we can proceed with a fertility treatment plan that we think will give you the best chance at a successful pregnancy.
We provide a variety of testing and treatment options to help our patients have children. You will have our support and guidance every step of the way.
Female fertility testing may involve a discussion of medical history, blood tests, and minimally invasive procedures. Testing options include:
Ovulation testing
Pelvic ultrasound
Hysterosalpingography (HSG)
Ovarian reserve testing
Saline-infusion sonography (SIS)
Hormone testing (TSH, prolactin)
Endometrial biopsy
Diagnostic surgery
Genetic testing
Infertility affects men and women equally, so both partners should be tested. Our male fertility testing options include:
Semen analysis
Hormone testing
Sperm DNA fragmentation
Genetic testing
Testicular biopsy
Ultrasound imaging
We recognize that your history, situation, and goals are unique, and we believe your treatment plan should be, too. That’s why we offer a wide variety of fertility treatments, including:
Embryo banking
Frozen embryo transfer (FET)
Ovulation induction
Donor sperm
We recommend an infertility evaluation if you have not gotten pregnant after one year of having regular, unprotected sexual intercourse for women under the age of 35. For women over 35, an evaluation is recommended after six months of trying. Women ages 40 and older are encouraged to seek evaluation without delay.
Our fertility specialists will take the time to understand your specific circumstances and family-building goals to create an individualized fertility plan. We’ll review your medical history and conduct thorough physical exams to determine which tests are most appropriate for your clinical goals.
Some tests may cause more discomfort than others, and everyone has different pain thresholds. Generally, most patients report fertility testing to be no more painful than other routine medical exams and pap smears.
Our team will give you holistic guidance on preparation for fertility treatment. This may include specific supplements to support healthy egg quality and metabolism, as well as lifestyle changes such as eating a balanced diet, getting quality sleep, stopping unhealthy habits like smoking and drinking, and engaging in regular exercise.
Whether your insurance covers fertility testing and treatment depends on your specific plan. It’s important to speak with your provider during your consultation to determine your coverage. We’re also happy to walk you through our financing options.
